Entry Updates.
Amy wanted to break up the brown and give her entry a more "finished" feel. A new rug softens the space ,while a round mirror and fresh accessories brighten and lighten the heaviness of the furniture creating a warm and inviting foyer that sets the tone for her home.

This entry is off to a great start, and the existing chest is a great size and scale for the foyer. With just a few finishing touches, this entry will become a warm and welcoming space.
Design details:
I have selected items that suit your farmhouse style but for the entry, I have added a touch of formality to the larger items. I did provide you with some alternatives if you would like to add more of a rustic feel to this area.
As I mentioned, I love to use mirrors to help the area in regards to reflecting light and adding some depth to the space. For the rug, I felt that using a larger size helps to lighten up the space and works best in regards to the size of the area.
Since you walk right through to the family room, I thought it best for these two rugs to match. I did provide you with an alternative rug if you wanted another option but your new family room rug is beautiful and it would look great to coordinate the two spaces.
Hang the mirror 6-8 inches above the credenza and off center just a few inches in from the right edge of the credenza. Hang the home sign a few inches in from the left side of the credenza and align the top with the upper door frame.
This project was a lot of fun and I hope you love it for years to come:)
