Carolyn wanted to completely revamp her traditional space ditching the old reds and golds in favor of a lighter, more transitional scheme. What a transformation!
Painting all of your trim white to match the rest of the home is going to make a huge difference in the brightness in the room. The built-ins should be the same white color as the trim. The new color scheme of the room is now light, bright and sophisticated. Different shades of blue work together to create an elegant color scheme. Layering rugs and mix and matching different metals and textures through furniture and fabrics help make the room feel lived in and comfortable.
Furniture
The coffee table is modern piece that adds a fun texture to the room against all the wood and fabric. The 2 types of chairs are very contrasting to each other but still flow together very nicely.
Color & Pattern
The top rug is a beautiful shade of blue which makes a great anchor for the furniture. The pillows add a lot of pattern to the space against the solid blue anchor pillows in each corner of the sofa.
Accessories
